Clarification on eYeka tagline brief

By Xuan Long on August 03, 2012 03:12 Announcements 0

Dear creators,

For eYeka tagline contest, we've received many entries so far, but some of them don't meet the brief. So through this blog post, I would like to clarify what are expected from you in this contest: We are looking for a poster or print ad with a tagline for eYeka that engages and inspires both our community and our clients.

So your entry must include one visual and one tagline, and the visual and tagline should appeal to both our community of creative individuals as well as the brands that come to eYeka for fresh creative ideas. Your entry must be in English for our global audience.

Don’t forget to put a text description of your work to explain the idea and rationale behind it, you also need to state in your media description whether or not the images you used is your own creation and provide links to the license granting you the rights of using it.

I hope this will help you to have a better understanding of what you have to create for this contest. If there is any part of the brief that you are unclear, please don’t hesitate to drop us an email at support-en@eyeka.com and we will be happy to assist you. After all, we are here for you.

One last tip: kindly read the brief thoroughly before you start working on your media to make sure you understand the do’s and don’ts. ;)

Looking forward to your awesome entries!

By Xuan Long on July 05, 2012 11:30 Announcements 0

Dear creators, Thank you for participating to the “Danone Water tweens” contest. Your entries were very creative and insightful and today we are delighted to announce the winners! Please find in italics the comments from the jury, followed by some words from the happy winners ;) Video Category: First Prize of EUR 3,500 goes to hxn (China) with danonewaters "Bottle water as a funny and connecting object"
hxn didn't share any feedback with us yet... :-(
Second Prize of EUR 2,000 goes to oyomoo (China) with Colorful water "Smart way to present how water can give you a different perception the world"
oyomoo: In 2010, my friend told me there's a creative platform launches contests for famous brands with attactive prizes, so I joined eYeka. The Danone brief is quite interesting and it gives me inspiration: through the bottled water, we can see a colorful world, so I decided to make a video to join the contest. I can't believe I really win this contest! If we have certificate for the winners, that would be great ;)
Third Prize of EUR 1,000 goes to FlojoArt (Germany) with Friends "Water makes you confortable with yourself and with others"
FlojoArt: "Thank you very much eYeka, for the price! For this contest I worked onlywith 3D animations. It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun!The most time I use animation. With this I am more free and I am able toconvert my ideas. Nothing is impossible!I liked the idea of the contest and I am always wanna support the water! Thepeople should drink more water! All my work I do by myself, but before I send it out, I need always acriticism.I am already happy about the next contest!eYeka, stay as you are!!"
Design Category: First Prize of EUR 2,000 goes to damseremie (Nigeria) with Be You...Be Cool "It explores a intrinsic characteristic of water, in the tweens world (transparence)"
damseremie: "I found out about Eyeka 3 years ago while searching for online video contests, but i forgot about it for a while, came back last year, participated and won 3rd place in Lenovo.. Since then, i have participated regularly... It feels wonderful to win again and take First place for the very first time... Generally, some contests just appeal to me from the time i see them, they seem challenging and interesting...Some however i do not get the ideas till it's just a day or 2 to go..Then it's all adrenaline rush to finish before the deadline.... I actually didn't plan to participate in the contest (at least the design part), i had just received results of another contest which i had worked hard on and didn't win anything(not eyeka though...lol) and was feeling a bit disappointed ... So instead i poured my anger to productive work , sat down and an hour later i had this entry... it was amazing....  usually i have an idea.. then i start walking up and down the house, developing it in my head, then i grab paper and a pen...and create a rough draft or script or storyboard .... All this Before i even think of going to shoot or sitting in front of my computer...it helps solidify my ideas....5)Am really not sure where my inspiration comes from.. Sometimes it's from within me.. At times it may be from bits and pieces of other great work i may have seen on the internet or TV .... 6) I mostly work alone.. though sometimes with my friend folarinpearse (also on eyeka)...we share ideas and critique them...  i want all the other creators to keep working...win or not, your getting better and getting more content for your reel or portfolio...and if your consistent, sooner or later, you'll win something too".
Second Prize of EUR 1,000 goes to IsaacRivera (France) with Sharing Together "A good graphic that presents water as a connector between tweens"
IsaacRiver: I knew eYeka trough internet, but I do not really remember how : ( - I participate in contests in general because of the creative challenge and for the prize of course ;) I participated in this contest more specifically because it was a good challenge and that the brief really talked to me. I am an amateur photographer. I love photography and design in general, so I create with my camera, my computer, and my crazy brain. I get inspiration from taking some special products. Just kidding, I'm clean. I think I am inspired by everything I see, then my brain makes the rest. Until now, I have been working all alone. But I would seek advice or opinions around me. This is only my third participation and I won! As a suggestion to all the members of eYeka out there, just try and euros will fall into the pockets :) I am pleased to have participated and won.
Third Prize of EUR 500 goes to downisthenewup (Argentina) with Danone ad "The possibility to explore intrinsic and extrinsic characteristics of water in tweens' mood"
I have known eYeka thanks to a designer friend who gave me the link and told me that competitions and awards were interesting. I do not participate much in contests, but I do because I know it allows me to compare my work and enrich myself. I participated in this contest specifically because I was curious to know how eYeka worked , and also because I read the brief and I liked the idea of the contest because I felt I could contribute with something. In addition Danone is a major brand and is a good background for my resume. My work process is first introspective and observational later. I took many sketches before proceeding to final execution. I use notebooks to sketch and I work with a graphics tablet and software for the end result. I get inspiration from my personal experience. I usually work alone but I have no problems working in teams, especially when the objectives are multidisciplinary. I think eYeka is a serious website, with many opportunities and good management. They have been very good to me and were kind enough to answer all my queries. The artists who participate in this community have to take the site and competitions are a good initiative to exploit their skills, learn and make some money.
Congratulations! And for everyone who have taken a part in this contest, well done and thank you very much! We loved all of your creations :) p.s.: Apologize because we are unable to publish the winning entries due to the confidential nature of this contest. Thank you for your understanding.

SGM 3 Winners!

By Amelia Apsari on June 28, 2012 13:43 Announcements 0

Wait no longer for the results of SGM 3 contest is here! Let's cut to the chase and see who they are:

First Prize of EUR 5,000
goes to oneted (France)
Hello everyone, my name is Alex and I am 26 years old. I started getting interested in graphics and video in 2007. But I've only known Eyeka and its call for entries for a few months now. I was immediately arrested by the quality of the briefs and the diversity of projects. I am very happy to have won the first prize of SGM3, for which I was inspired by a true story ... This is important for my career, and I hope it will continue ... Thanks to Vicky for her help, thank you to those who followed our projects, and if you would like to take a part to work on projects, here is my website: www.oneted-prod.com. I think working on Eyeka contests' briefs is  a great way to demonstrate our creativity. A big thank you to all of the Eyeka team for the support given, and I wish all the best to all the creative people out there.

Second Prize of EUR 3,000 goes to kutudaun (Indonesia)
The brief concept is quite interesting and it challenged me as a creator. I really enjoyed working on my entry because I had the freedom to express my idea. The idea itself got onto me unexpectedly when I was taking a stroll at a park near my house. :D

Third Prize of EUR 2,000 goes to budi71(Indonesia)
I'm very happy! This is my third contest on eYeka and I won! I am really happy. eYeka has given me a big chance to keep on creating and sharping my brain to be even more creative. eYeka is a fun place to pour out my creativity. Hopefully eYeka will keep on being the best media for creators who thirst for fresh ideas. And also, the prizes are a hugeeee motivation as well.
Congratulation! And for everyone who have taken a part in this contest, well done and thank you very much! :D

Second Prize (EUR 1,500) goes to kutudaun (Indonesia) with Restaurant_final
My friend told me about eYeka in 2009. About the Philips lighting brief, it's clearly enough (for me), but sometimes (in some contest) eYeka need to give us more detail information or explanation. I want to join the contest because of the brief (the brief help me to think & solve the challenge) and of course the prize :) How do I feel when winning the contest? Shock, Excited, Happy :D
Third Prize (EUR 500) goes to Tdashh (India) with led to better
Hello! My name is Vikram kr singh. I came to know about eYeka from my best friend and brother, (N.Abhishek) we both work together for most of the contests in eYeka. We both have separate account in eYeka though we work together and chose our pick :) This is my first win and I am so happy. Now we are equal in score. I chose Philips inspirational lighting because  it sounds really exciting and simply briefed to me and world leader brand Philips was involved..... This is the greatest thing about eYeka that you get chance to work for big brands like Philips. And winning a contest is really great because it makes you feel recognized and appreciated. eYeka is a great platform for creative people around the world, it's the most exciting thing in my life. Everything about eYeka is so nice: moderators, website, wonderful creators...they are just awesome and I feel so proud to be a part of this wonderful world :)  I would like to tell all my eYeka's brothers and sisters: just keep on working and one day your idea will definitely click . Lastly I would like to give thanks to eYeka and PHILIPS, for giving me this opportunity, thank you so much !!!
Congratulation! And for everyone who have taken a part in this contest, well done and thank you very much! p.s.: Apologize because we are unable to publish the winning entries due to the confidential nature of this contest (product idea). Thank you for your understanding. :)
