New eYeka website

By Ekaterina Pashina on July 07, 2015 16:15 Announcements 0

Dear creators, Last month we released the brand new website version of eYeka website. We hope you like it! (We do ;) ). As you might remember we presented the previous version of eYeka in 2013. This followed by introduction of such new site features as Feedback Circle, new profile pages, creative score, new contest result page, which we hope let you express your talent to the fullest and enjoy your time on eYeka.   old eyeka   We were quite happy with this site, but we did not want to stop just there (cause there is no limit to perfection ;) ). We believed that there is always room for improvement and as a result eYeka team came up with a totally new website layout and a new (hopefully only positive) user experience. We were working on this version thinking about both, creators who have been with us for a while already and know the “playground” rules, as well as about those who see eYeka for the first time and try to understand what this whole crowdsourcing story is all about.   eYeka-Creators-Page-After   We hope you enjoy your new eYeka and we are looking forward to hearing what you think about it! Do you like the new design? Do you miss anything from the previous version? We would be happy to learn! (support-en@eyeka.com)   Your faithfully, eYeka team

We now accept documents in PDF format only

By Ekaterina Pashina on July 22, 2013 08:30 Announcements 0

Dear Creators, As you may have noticed on some of our contests we have restricted the format of the uploaded documents to PDF format only. From July 22nd this will be applied to all the text and presentations entries in order to simplify our media management and moderation processes. This means we DO NOT accept the following formats: *.doc;*.rtf;*.xls;*.pps;*.ppt;*.pptx;*.odp;*.ods;*.xlsx;*.odt;*.odg anymore. ONLY PDF!   We believe that there are several advantages of using PDF format: -          It is really easy to use! :) You will find dozens of PDF conversion tools on the internet; it will usually take you a couple of  clicks to convert your document to PDF! -          Your uploaded entries will look right on other people’s screens across different platforms including our clients’. -          You do not have to worry if the original look of your work is saved, as PDF files preserve the exact format and content of your original document. -          Your high-resolution images will be in a relatively small file format without a visible loss of quality. That will help you save time for the upload.   One of the software solutions we recommend is Adobe® Acrobat® XI PDF Creator. You can learn more about it here. You can also visit our knowledge base to read about the accepted formats.   And of course, do not hesitate to contact us via support-en@eyeka.com if you have any questions! Cheers! eYeka Community Team

Update: confidentiality of entries

By Anastasia Artemova on April 26, 2013 12:37 Announcements 0

Hi all, As you know we recently released a new feature on eYeka which allowed you to view the submitted entries from other participants as long as your own entry has been accepted into that contest. Then we've created a poll asking your preferences on two options: to get access to participants’ media only after the end of the contest or to have access to participants’ media from the very 1st day the contest runs live. You mostly preferred the first option and we've heard you! But we also listened to our clients. From now on, there will be three kinds of contests:
  • Confidential contest: entries are not visible to participants on eYeka.com, simply because the brand believes the content is too important to be shared.
  • Private contest: contributors are allowed to see others’ works once the contest is over (note that a contributor is a participant whose entry has been accepted). While the brand trusts you not to share the entries outside of eYeka, it is important that you be able to position yourself vs other contributors.
  • Public contest: entries are visible for everyone, even during the contest. This is used for social content where the brand is usually looking for maximum amplification.
How will you know which of the options is applicable? Just take part in the contest and if the entries are not visible to you then the contest is confidential. You may also drop us an email or leave a question on the discuss tab. ;) We try to improve our services and your inputs are always welcome! Keep on writing to us through the Support tab, should you want to share any more feedback or suggestions. Your Community Team
