Break the rules by re-inventing an innovative, delicious frozen fruit product based on real fruit that will appeal to millennials!

Consumers are increasingly looking for more ‘natural’ products with concerns about quality, origin and product benefits. They are looking for natural and pure ingredients, and are trying to avoid products with food additives. Increasingly they are looking for locally and sustainably sourced products, respecting the seasons and fair trade farming.

They want to be healthy and happy, no matter who they are, while their attitude towards the planet and their personal footprint have changed too.

Fruit is gaining importance in different categories, being able to deliver different benefits such as ‘good-for-you’ pleasure, wholesomeness, wellness enhancement, and authenticity.

Various products, like yoghurt, beverages, energy bars and other snacks, are now offering  products high in fruit. Fruit does not just reinforce naturalness, it can also stimulate different senses, provide a mental boost and has a strong appetite-appeal.

What about ice cream with real fruits? It sounds like a perfect way to offer exciting fruit experiences. Especially for millennials, who love exploring the world and absorbing parts of other cultures, who do not just take things as they are offered – they fuse and adapt everything they are exposed to. They are challenging the expectation to be perfect, and enjoy being authentic, open and raw. 

So, the challenge is in your hands: Invent a new, wholesome and indulging frozen fruit product based on real fruit that is different than any existing frozen fruit product or ice cream and millennials will not be able to resist it.

Confidentiality rules on eYeka

We know how proud you are of your creations and that you are always eager to share them with the world. However, please do not forget about the Confidentiality Rules on eYeka which are applied to all the entries you submit in contests.

These rules vary depending on whether your submission was selected as winning or not.

If your work was selected among the winners:  

  1. Winners must keep winning entries as strictly confidential.
  2. Winning entries can’t be used or communicated anywhere, including your portfolio, website and social media channels.
  3. If you won in a contest in which the name of the client was not shown, you must keep it confidential.

If you participated in a contest but your entry was not selected:

  1. If you want to use your work or to feature it publicly on your website, portfolio or your social channels all the brand’s materials (logo, name, trademarks, pack shots, end frames, audio tracks provided by the brand, etc) must be removed if the creator wants to use his submissions.
  2. You cannot make any reference to the client, its brands, its products and the contest on eYeka.
  3. If your entry did not win you can reuse your idea/footage in other contests after you remove all the brand’s materials from it.

We trust you on following these rules.  Otherwise this can lead to termination of your account on eYeka and legal actions from the brand, and we all hate what this happens.

eYeka turns 10! And that's thanks to you! #eYeka10

Dear beloved creators and amazing community, 

Today, eYeka celebrates its 10th birthday! We are now grown-ups, building our personality a bit more everyday and soon enough, we will be going to parties without our parents! 

But before we start being self-centered (please allow us, just for this one article), we would like to share a special message with you guys.

THANK YOU! 

Thank you for your creativity.
Thank you for your imagination.
Thank you for making us see the world through such beautiful eyes.
Thank you for making us dream.
Thank you for being excited about each one of our contests.
Thank you for giving the brands a reason to work with us.
Thank you for your questions and tips that helped us get better. 
Thank you for giving your extra-valued point of view. 

We have grown and evolved throughout the years, and we are proud of who we are today. And we are who we are thanks to you. Therefore, we are, more than ever, proud of you.

 

eYeka was founded 10 years ago. Its founders, Gilles Babinet and Franck Perrier had a vision: in the future, everyone would be empowered to make a difference by contributing with her or his unique and innovative perspective on the world. Back then, the term « crowdsourcing » had not yet been invented, YouTube was a 1-year old, and Facebook had less than 10 million users. And the Nokia 1600 was the best-selling phone...

Since then, eYeka has pioneered a new trade: help brands reinvent themselves by leveraging the fresh creative ideas of a global community that now boasts more than 330,000 individuals from 167 countries. And more than 100.000 fresh ideas have been contributed so far, leading to more relevant communications, brand strategies, designs and product innovations.

All along 2016, we will be celebrating those 10 years: 10 years of fresh ideas, 10 years of talent, 10 years of great briefs from some of the world’s best brands, 10 years of entrepreneurship and craftsmanship… To start, have a look at the below infographic which gives you a brief timeline of eYeka’s evolution since 2006.

How eYeka community helped P&G to build SK-II Brand #ChangeDestiny

Since 2014, eYeka’s community has worked on 13 projects with SK-II, P&G’s premium skincare brand. With more than 660 ideas from more than 700 participants, SK-II has brought to life #ChangeDestiny, its “biggest empowerment campaign” to date.

The first SK-II project was a video contest looking for emotional synergy with younger women. SK-II was extremely satisfied with the videos submitted by eYeka creators. The “Future Me” video for example, created by Oblikovsky, a young Ukrainian filmmaker and his team, not only was the most shareable video of the campaign, but it also became a reference when it comes to user-generated content in the entire category. You can see the video below as well as on the brand's website.

For me, it's very important to approach the brief as if you solve puzzles. And it's important to have the desire to realize potential of brand, not focussing on the monetary aspect. Pleased to realize that your ideas and your artistic vision can assess such major global brands. It inspires confidence and the desire to work and to develop further! Big thanks brand SK-II for the opportunity and eYeka for your support!

The first winner of the contest was arthurchays from France with his beautiful video fil rouge - In your hands. You can see the video below as well as on the brand's website.

 This is a great format to try things , think outside the box ... It's good to be sincere in the ideas, use your brain and talk with your heart. Winning a prize is very nice! It can restore confidence, make you want to do other films. And especially judge its level at a given time . From my personal experience , I prefer to lose with a film I'm proud of that win with a movie I 'd botched.

New eYeka website

Dear creators, Last month we released the brand new website version of eYeka website. We hope you like it! (We do ;) ). As you might remember we presented the previous version of eYeka in 2013. This followed by introduction of such new site features as Feedback Circle, new profile pages, creative score, new contest result page, which we hope let you express your talent to the fullest and enjoy your time on eYeka.   old eyeka   We were quite happy with this site, but we did not want to stop just there (cause there is no limit to perfection ;) ). We believed that there is always room for improvement and as a result eYeka team came up with a totally new website layout and a new (hopefully only positive) user experience. We were working on this version thinking about both, creators who have been with us for a while already and know the “playground” rules, as well as about those who see eYeka for the first time and try to understand what this whole crowdsourcing story is all about.   eYeka-Creators-Page-After   We hope you enjoy your new eYeka and we are looking forward to hearing what you think about it!
