Brené Brown once said “Without failure, there’s no innovation & creativity”, that’s why you should never give up and when you fail, always get back up and try again!
This month we would like to introduce to you our talented creator of the month akshaykoranne
Tell us a bit more about yourself
My Name is Akshay Koranne. I have Lived in Different cities of India and experienced different cultures throughout the early age of 10th Grade, I got my inclination towards Creative side. Drawing plans, model making and fascination towards automobile/product sketching were my first steps towards Design world. It was more than a decade ago when I realized that this creativity can bring a huge change and will be my future.
Being from a very small town from India I was never exposed to any Good design school. The urge to study design, brought me to metro city and I further did my Masters in National institute of Design (NID) India.
I Had chosen Retail Design as my career further.
And here I am working as a Retail/product designer today. Now, it’s Been more than a decade since I've indulged in Design field and this has evolved me much more than I had thought of..Today I feel good about the fact that I'm living the part of dream which I saw long back and associated with design profession which always teaches you something different.
Apart from the Design life, I love to sing and Cooking is also another interest of mine. I always feel that life shouldn't be monotonous as because learning and doing new things always makes you a Dynamic person. "Being learned is always better then studied"
How did you find out about eYeka?
I got this Exposure from my Friend who is already on Eyeka as a Creator. Today It’s Been just a year since I knew about Eyeka, and I am very Pleased to know about such platforms which allows Global talents to show the potential and make Design Fraternity to Grow More and explore more.
Do you have a creative process? If so, can you share a bit of your secret with our community? Where do you look for inspiration?
Design process has various approaches according to me, sometimes it clicks in seconds sometimes it needs a deep routed analysis to reach to a sensible Design. I still follow a traditional method of reaching to a concept that involves brainstorming sessions, instant doodling, then comes the stage where I search on the net to find whether there are similar solutions or not, trust me this exercise always aware me to not copy anybody's design and stay original.
When submitting an entry, how do you keep positive if it is rejected or not selected as a winning entry? When submitting an entry, how do you keep positive if it is rejected or not selected as a winning entry?
I guess you should always keep your Mind free whenever you start the design process, winning or losing should be secondary and you should never think of rejection. Moreover, for me Rejection of anything gives me a more stronger urge to make a better Design and refine it further. On the parallel one should be confident about his/her creation which definitely Leads to a hope to win it.
What would you like to achieve (or have already achieved) with the prizes you will win/have won?
I have spent my Rewards on Holidays as I feel one always requires a Break!! From your regular Routine, the moment you go for an outing it makes your mind Relieved and it works like a F5 key for you to start on a Fresh note.
If you had to describe eYeka in 3 words, what would they be?
Global Opportunity / Creative Platform / Encouragement
Finally, is there anything you would like to share with our creators (secret, tip…)?
Folks...Just try to be Original and focus to what an End user will Need.
If you are stuck just take a Reliever and start New…I am sure you can reach the Threshold where you find a Sense in Your Design.
A Big Thanks to Eyeka for Covering me!
