I knew eYeka about one year ago, and I immediately talked to myself that I would love to take part in the competitions. I participate in competition, because I want to show that you can create good jobs that will win. In this competition, I want to show that there are situations in life that many of us have faced, they are funny, sometimes annoying. I feel a great lift emotionally, when I knew I won. Usually I'm trying to skip the competitive activity in itself and the surrounding reality, sometimes I watch videos, read books and scientific facts to get inspiration. Finally, after a few days of gestation, idea is born something worthwhile. The inspiration I get are from friends around me, events that are happening in my life, and books, movies. I have a team - They help me with the details of the script, creating music background, and with the shooting process.Second prize of 6,000 EUR goes to Capn_Polyester (from New Zealand) with My Axe is Blunt!
I found eYeka by searching from the internet, I have entered two contests and won prizes for both. I think it's a great way to have a fun project that will hopefully pay at the end. I participate in this contest because the brief looks fun. When I found out I won, I was super happy, money this time of year is great! I usually shoot on a 550d DSLR camera and edit with Final Cut Pro, I try to think outside the box, come up with solutions that wouldn't be available from a typical ad agency. I used to work alone but I've now got a producing partner called Doug who is ace! hopefully we will be making loads more contest entries in the future.Third prize of 4,000 EUR goes to FlojoArt (From Germany) with Razor
I am now exactly one year at eYeka! And what I can say?! It really changed my way to work, my self-confidence, my life! Next year I will start to study 3D Animation! Without eYeka, it would not be possible! It is everytime an amazing feeling to get a prize! Not just because of the money! It always gives me the feeling that I am on the right way! I wish eYeka and all the eYeka-artists a happy new year and a creative year 2013! Thank you for the great year! And thank you Schick and eYeka for this prize!Design category: First prize of 5,000 EUR goes to LucasOttoMuller (from Argentina) with Schick-Titanium-LOM
A friend of mine sent me the link of the eYeka site and I started exploring all the contests. This is the fourth contest I participate in my life. Before this, I never considered participating. I think it is a great way to get your work exposed to many people and get valuable feedback. The reasons I participate in this contest are: First, I was attracted by the product of the brand, and Second, when I read the brief, I thought it was a good start to develop an idea. I could not believe it when I got the news that I won, I had to read the email twice to make sure it was real. I thought I made a good work, I was satisfied with it, but didn't expected to win the first prize. There are many talented professionals in this area and and competition is really hard. It's a great motivation to continue participating! To create my work, I always start with a pencil and any piece of paper I find, wherever I am: If I have an idea worth drawing I just make a rough sketch and put it in my pocket. Then I look for some reference material so as to develop the idea, but it is always a very organic process, I make so many changes that sometimes I get a very different outcome compared to the initial idea. I get inspiration from really anything that get's my attention. walking on the streets, news, magazines, advertising, internet, movies, books, stories, etc. The more things you do and see, the more resources you have in your mind. I usually work alone, but sometimes you require others to collaborate. I think a balance between them is the best. No matter how you work, interaction is one of the most important things for growing as a professional.Second prize of 3,000 EUR goes to matocg (from Czech Republic) with TITANIUM BED
I was really excited when I found out that my first entry on eYeka won in the 2nd place! I prefer 3D CG and it was really great medium for this contest. First few days I was just thinking about ideas, then wrote out 2 of them i liked the most and I worked alone several hours (i really enjoyed) for this one to finish it... it was definitely worth it! Anyway I would LOVE to see other contestants' entries :-)Third prize of 2,000 EUR goes to Yunganghui (From South Korea) with Titanium can
Congratulations from eYeka to all of you who gave your best, winners and participants!
