Remember how we asked you to tell us a story of how Actimel gives you the inner strength that can help you (or someone else) doing small things that can lead to the great big things that matter? Well, finally after a loooooongggg wait (we sincerely apologize for this, guys), we have gotten the winners!! :D So without getting long-winded, here they are! You can find the jury’s comment below each name and also a little bit of story from each of them: 1st Prize (EUR 2,500): garygeorgec (Philippines) with Missionary Doctor “Great storytelling with an excellent and innovative execution”
I am an Advertising graduate and I am now working as an artist in GMA Network, the no.1 television network in the Philippines. I came across when I was searching for websites that can help me enhance my skills in motion graphics and it became my daily routine to visit eYeka for updates on new Call for Entries (CFE). With eYeka, I was able to unleash my advertising knowledge and creativity at the same time advance my skills in motion graphics. My concepts are as it is and no clients there to tell you that you need to revise. You have all the creative freedom. Also, with my winnings in the CFEs, I was able to help my family and others because part of my prize money goes to charity. I live in a third world country that is constantly visited by typhoons, and winning in Euro or Dollar is really a big help. My creation process involves a lot of brainstorming with my friends. I have this black notebook where I "doodle" my concepts (I said "doodle" because I am the only one that can understand the drawings. Hehehe) and create storyboards. But the how the end product will look like is already in my mind. I only use the storyboard for reference in shooting the sequence. Most of the time, I do my creations all by myself. Sometimes, I will ask for some help from others. Regarding this entry for Actimel, I created it all on my own. The hardest part was cutting out the materials. It took me almost 6 hours to cut-out and organize the paper models and only 2 hours to shoot the whole scene. The story is about my older sister. I had so many concepts but her story stood out the most because it is a true story of love and perseverance. The whole process took a lot of work but its okay. I love what I do. :)
2nd Prize (EUR 1,500): Majnart (Czech Republic) with Spread Joy, Live Actimel “A cute story about the every day perseverance to achieve something big.”
I usually work together with my two good friends (they were also featured in the video). The creative process begins with a simple idea, which we tried to make it even simpler. This time, it was a combination of a real experience of the effects of regular consume of Actimel and the success of my niece at a piano recital, which was also a result of a persistence about the daily practising routine. The shooting took place in a friend´s apartment, because it had big windows and natural light, which is hard to find during autumn. During shooting, both my good friends and I worked as a whole functioning film crew, so it is always a joy to cope with and overcome small details that seemed to play against us.
3rd Prize (EUR 1,000): howyee (Hong Kong) with Young Cook’s Story. “Great visuals to link the benefit to the inside of the bottle.”
Last year I resigned from my job and would like to do something creative and related to drawing. However, it was hard to find, as I don't have Art and Design background. At that time, I found out about eYeka from the Internet.  Since I only know how to draw, I could only participate in illustration contests. My creation process is very simple: after studying the contest brief, I will draw out my first idea, then study again and elaborate more. Sometimes my idea may totally change. I think a detailed brief could inspire more creative idea.
Congratulation!! :D For those who did not win, please don’t be discouraged. Do check out our homepage for more creative contests you can participate in. ;)   p.s.: Due to confidentiality reason, Actimel would prefer not to publish the winning entries. Thank you for your kind understanding.
