How to win the Degré7 contest

11 January 2010

Here’s an info that will surely have it’s importance for the rest of the contest !

After having discussed and reviewed with the client the (very good) creations already submitted, we can tell you a bit more about which road to take to raise your chances of winning the 2500€ and the trip to France.

More than a specific innovation on a particular clothe or accessory, you REALLY have to anchor your submission in a collection concept, applicable to the whole summer collection – a main idea is essential, you have to explain it clearly!

The best example to date is a_frique ’s concept, who went from the attributes of the spider’s web, and applied it to a new innovative collection.

There’s two weeks left to expand on your existing concept and complete them, or to start fresh ;)

See you soon!

Better Contest tips and samples

12 November 2009

Here are a few tips for the iris Be Better contest along with a few samples to inspire you!

- Do not forget to include one of the 6 Be [taglines] that we listed on the brief. It MUST be a part of the work itself. This will help the jury understand which tagline you’re trying to interpret, allowing them to judge more objectively. You can use any font style, font size or font color, as long as it fits your work. It can even be a part of the composition itself (i.e clouds forming letters that spell out ‘be unbeatable’). Make it as small as you want as long as it’s readable and does not distract the viewers from your actual work!

- Apart from photographs, you may also submit graphic designs, illustrations, paintings etc. Anything you can send to us digitally!

- Remember the minimum size requirement when uploading it on eYeka. It must be at least 1200 pixels on the shortest side. This will allow the judges to have a better look at your work.

- Lastly, go on and impress us!

be inspired

be animated

be unstoppable
