SGM 3 Winners!

Jun 28

Wait no longer for the results of SGM 3 contest is here! Let’s cut to the chase and see who they are:

First Prize of EUR 5,000 goes to oneted (France)

Hello everyone, my name is Alex and I am 26 years old. I started getting interested in graphics and video in 2007. But I’ve only known Eyeka and its call for entries for a few months now. I was immediately arrested by the quality of the briefs and the diversity of projects. I am very happy to have won the first prize of SGM3, for which I was inspired by a true story … This is important for my career, and I hope it will continue … Thanks to Vicky for her help, thank you to those who followed our projects, and if you would like to take a part to work on projects, here is my website: www.oneted-prod.com. I think working on Eyeka contests’ briefs is  a great way to demonstrate our creativity. A big thank you to all of the Eyeka team for the support given, and I wish all the best to all the creative people out there.

Second Prize of EUR 3,000 goes to kutudaun (Indonesia)

The brief concept is quite interesting and it challenged me as a creator. I really enjoyed working on my entry because I had the freedom to express my idea. The idea itself got onto me unexpectedly when I was taking a stroll at a park near my house. :D

Third Prize of EUR 2,000 goes to budi71(Indonesia)

I’m very happy! This is my third contest on eYeka and I won! I am really happy. eYeka has given me a big chance to keep on creating and sharping my brain to be even more creative. eYeka is a fun place to pour out my creativity. Hopefully eYeka will keep on being the best media for creators who thirst for fresh ideas. And also, the prizes are a hugeeee motivation as well.

Congratulation! And for everyone who have taken a part in this contest, well done and thank you very much! :D

Bur’eau’s winners, here you are !

Jun 28

Dear creators, we are glad to announce the 4 winners of “Create the ideal bottle of water for the office” contest !
We would like to thank you all for your great contribution in this creative challenge, your works are great! Well done, everyone :)

Now, it’s time to announce the winners, You can find the jury’s comments in italics and some words from the winners too.

First Prize of EUR 2,500 goes to superrockgalaxy (France) with B’water
This proposal was chosen as the overall winner as it responded so well to the many criteria of the brief.

This project is the result of the collaboration between two friends, Anthony Loeuk and Quentin Lepetit, designers students in Paris. The brief interested us because deals with problematics with use of an object which is famous and ordinary for everyone. Our first step was to ask to our circle of friends. After several ideas, we integrated to ours designs and finally we have got a form factor of a bottle which as its own identity. a bottle in adequation with office ambiences and which distances oneself from other bottle (jogging, fitness…). We are very happy to win this first award because it’s for us the result of a successful work in collaboration.

Second Prize of EUR 1,500 goes to filmalike (Germany) with water bottle
The cleverness of this proposal was to take the “ring bottle” which already exists for sport/jogging, and demonstrating how this idea could also respond to the consumer needs of the office.

It was so much fun to create in a such free circle, without having a client on your shoulder. In this brief I like the idea of creating a bottle especially for the use in offices, I can imagine how people feel to have to carry a lot of stuff and their bottle of water as well. The brief was also very clear and in a sympatic way very close. The story about my idea is to create a simple, clear design, really different from the normal shapes of bottles of water. Something you will spot immediately in a supermarket. And its a chic accessoire as well.

Third Prize of EUR 1,000 goes to Rib (France) with bur’eau
What is most interesting about this idea is the fact that you make a relatively minor change, but that this change brings multiple additional possibilities. In summary, a simple, well-executed idea, which responded well to the brief.

Fourth Prize of EUR 1,000 goes to Rais-art (Germany) with OfficeBottle-Project
The solution of removing the bottle from the top of the desk very effectively removes the risk of spillage, and demonstrates an innovative approach.

It wasn’t the first time I participate at an eYeka contest, but it’s the first time that I win a prize ! As I’ve finished my studies at the Design Akademie from St. Petersburg, I work like a freelance now, so I spent a lot of time in my studio and frequently I encountered some issues that everyone know, with my bottle of water. Many times, my bottle spills on my computer, on my desk and designs… Therefore, thinking about all this issues I built the basis of my project. It’s very important It is very important to find the reasons for the original design. Sometimes, I look for an idea in other kind of activity. Many thanks to the jury for their choices and comments !

Congratulation to the winners! And for everyone who have taken a part in this contest, well done and thank you very much !

ps : Due to the confidentiality of the contest, our client would prefer not to be published media. Thank you for your kind understanding.

Minute Maid Pulpy’s winners!

Jun 28

Dear creators, we know you’ve been waiting for so long and we finally have the winners of  “Minute Maid Pulpy” contest!

We would like to thank you for your patience, great work and participation in this creative challenge.
So, let’s have a look on our winners! In italics you will find some comments from them:

First prize of 15,000 EUR goes to Clipclaper (from France)

Second prize of 9,000 EUR goes to teddiefilms (from the USA)

One night I had a dream. It was about a site that allows you to make commercials and win money. When I awoke, I went to eYeka.com and found what I was looking for. It’s a good way to build your commercial reel while possibly earning some money. Also, contests allow us more creative freedom and control. And it has improved my love life by 42%. We primarily work as a duo, like Batman and Robin. Except none of us really wants to be Robin. So imagine two Batmen. But we also have a team of close friends that we lean upon to do what we do. In general we like to do ads that are quirky and humorous and the Minute Maid Pulpy contest seemed perfect for our brand of humor. It also had a higher prize than most of the other contests.

Usually, a messenger of Zeus appears to us and tells us what to do.  Sometimes though, we just make it up as we go.  And every now and then, we actually have brainstorming meetings, write proper scripts, storyboard, and rehearse. We mostly get our inspiration from other people’s misfortunes.  Just kidding. If you can’t tell by now, we joke around a lot.

Third prize of 6,000 EUR goes to noahk (from the USA)

I found out about eYeka while searching for contests online. As a recent film school graduate, contests are a great way to gain experience and knowledge, along with the potential monetary gain – which is always a plus. I co-produced this commercial with Jeff Bloom, a very talented cinematographer, and together we wrote, shot, edited, and did the effects for the commercial. We came up with the story while brainstorming concepts that we though would show the product in a fun and quirky way. We were worried the idea might have been a bit too crazy, but it seems to have paid off!

Congratulations to the winners and once again thanks to you all for your participation. We are very sorry for this delay!

P.S. We should apologize as we can’t publish the winning entries due to the confidential nature of this contest. Thank you for your understanding!

Your dandruff-free hair does make an impact!

Jun 28

Sorry to keep you waiting, guys! We have finally got the winners of our Clear Cosmo contest! So here are the three winners! Let’s give them a big round of applause!

First Prize of EUR 5,000 goes to dbflash (China) with Ninja

When I decided to join this contest, I spent 3 whole days just to think of the concept and I came up with 5 ideas. Then I compared them and made my final decision to use one of them: the ninja story. I think it would be interesting to show the trouble if a ninja has dandruff when he’s trying to conceal himself. I still can’t believe that I really won this contest when I saw eYeka’ email, so I replied to double check if I really won the first prize, I am too excited! Thanks eYeka for this great recognition and I am sure I will participate more in future contests.

Second Prize of EUR 1,500 goes to Jessah (Singapore) with Black Fright

I’ve been a member of Eyeka for nearly 2 years now and joined 4 contests including this one. I think that the idea of creative individuals having a place to gather and share their artworks for brands which they are very familiar of, is an exceptional idea. Who would know the products better than the consumers themselves? Here, it is not about who gets the most vote, it’s about contributing real ideas and suggestions by innovative individuals. Participating in the competitions to invent and be artistic was all fun, and I honestly am surprised to have won this specific competition knowing that there are some truly very talented creators in the community. As for my entry, I think the reason it works is because I personally use the product daily, so it was not that difficult to come up with the concept. I thank Eyeka and Unilever for this opportunity, and hope to see more creative entries in the future.

Third Prize of EUR 1,000 goes to OmarSalad (France) with Eyeka Pub Clear 1

I could say that it’s just my second participation in a call for entries on Eyeka, both times were done with a friend of mine. This video for the Clear contest was made with totally non-professional actors, so it was a good experience, and even if initially it was a bit difficult to make them “move” as we wanted, we managed to get what we want, so we’re quite happy to win a prize with this one! We’re former cinema school students, and we now make videos on the Internet, under the name of Les Chevaliers du Web. We’re working on some projects, so we didn’t have the time to go back on Eyeka for now, but we’ll try our chance again, that’s for sure!

Congratulation! And for everyone who have taken a part in this contest, well done and thank you very much! We love all of your creations :D

p.s.: Apologize because we are unable to publish the winning entries due to the confidential nature of this contest. Thank you for your understanding.

Winners of Reinvent Voting are here

Jun 25

Dear creators,

Thank you for participating to the “Reinvent Voting” contest. Your entries were very creative and insightful and today we are delighted to announce the winners!
Please find in italics the comments from the jury, followed by some words from the happy winners..

First Prize of EUR 3,000 goes to Clementime (Canada) with Give Voting the Finger

“Very original idea which stands out from the others.  It is starting from the behaviors and attitude of young voters (ie: the problem) as opposed to jumping into a solution straight away.  Clever use of “word-of-mouth” making the jump back from social media to the real world.  We love the idea of re-importing a “low tech” solution to the “developed world’ to make it trendy as a real world hashtag.  Great animation that makes the narrative engaging.”

“I came across eYeka only about three months ago and was attracted to its innovative platform for co-creation. I find the contests that eYeka hosts to be an excellent outlet for creative energy. And as a young voter I express an active interest in getting my peers more involved in the democratic system, so I felt very inclined towards participating in this particular call for entries. I get a lot of my inspiration from the music I use in my media. Usually after I have a rough concept of what I want to create, I find a song that matches the general feeling of what I’m going for, and go from there. I work alone and am constantly trying to learn more in order to develop my skills. With every media I create, I set a goal to include a new After Effects, Flash or Photoshop technique that I’ve learnt along the way, so it’s a constant learning experience!

Second Prize of EUR 2,000 goes to KlipProduction (France) with Vote EASY
“Simple solution that would revolutionize voting. Not only for young people but everyone eligible.  It also leverages and existing technology infrastructure for availability of “voting terminals”, identification and security.  The video really drives the point that it is so easy to vote that you could almost do it casually while on the phone.  Nice idea. “

“My award for Re-Invent Voting is amazing because it was my first participation as director for eYeka’s calls for entries! Re-Invent Voting was a perfect subject for me, because I have only voted two times on my life (I’m 30). Each time, I wanted to vote but either my polling station was too far or I hadn’t enough time… Before this contest, I had already directed few music-videos for unknown French singers, an advertising with the double of Bruce Willis (I’m a fan), photo shoots and few video of concerts. I have also been director for a theatre company and I wrote 3 plays. Now, I want directing to become my full time job. And Eyeka is a good way to show people what I do for advertising, as well as my ideas and my skills. For me, directing is especially a tough work before the shooting. Indeed, I think it is easier to be brisk and efficient when the unforeseen things come if you have the final cut in your head before the shooting. Thank you for reading me and see you soon on eYeka or on my future website:  klipproduction.com “

Congratulations to the winners! And for everyone who have taken a part in this contest, well done and thank you very much! We loved all of your creations and it was definitely a challenge to only select 2 winners among all of you!

Show us the greatness of LED light bulbs

Jun 22

Many people have heard of LED light bulbs but not many people really understand what is so good about them. If only they knew how great they are…

LED light bulbs have some major advantages compared to traditional light bulbs: They are durable and can last up to 15 years! They can also save 80% energy. What makes them friendly to users is that they emit a comfortable light that is glare free as opposed to harsh light from traditional light bulbs or neons. Finally LED light bulbs don’t produce heat so you won’t burn yourself when you touch them.

Bring to life what’s great about LED light bulbs in a very engaging video or animation that will entertain its viewers. Make your audience interested, engaged and willing to try it!

We would like to thank you all for your great contribution in this creative challenge, your works are great! Well done, everyone :D
Now, it’s time to announce the winners, You can find some words from the winners too:

Second Prize (EUR 1,500) goes to kutudaun (Indonesia) with Restaurant_final

My friend told me about eYeka in 2009. About the Philips lighting brief, it’s clearly enough (for me), but sometimes (in some contest) eYeka need to give us more detail information or explanation. I want to join the contest because of the brief (the brief help me to think & solve the challenge) and of course the prize :) How do I feel when winning the contest? Shock, Excited, Happy :D

Third Prize (EUR 500) goes to Tdashh (India) with led to better

Hello! My name is Vikram kr singh. I came to know about eYeka from my best friend and brother, (N.Abhishek) we both work together for most of the contests in eYeka. We both have separate account in eYeka though we work together and chose our pick :)

This is my first win and I am so happy. Now we are equal in score. I chose Philips inspirational lighting because  it sounds really exciting and simply briefed to me and world leader brand Philips was involved….. This is the greatest thing about eYeka that you get chance to work for big brands like Philips.

And winning a contest is really great because it makes you feel recognized and appreciated. eYeka is a great platform for creative people around the world, it’s the most exciting thing in my life. Everything about eYeka is so nice: moderators, website, wonderful creators…they are just awesome and I feel so proud to be a part of this wonderful world :)  I would like to tell all my eYeka’s brothers and sisters: just keep on working and one day your idea will definitely click .

Lastly I would like to give thanks to eYeka and PHILIPS, for giving me this opportunity, thank you so much !!!

Congratulation! And for everyone who have taken a part in this contest, well done and thank you very much!

You truly are obsessed with sound!

Jun 19

Our Philips ‘Obsessed with Sound’ contest was a huge success. It’s all thanks to YOU! :D

We could see that so many of you are obsessed with sound and music. Music really gives colour to your life, don’t you think so? And we had a lot of fun watching the submissions ;)

So anyway, to cut long story short, we have gotten the winners of this contest! Behold, they areeeeeeee…….

Video Category:

First Prize of EUR 5,000
goes to Edandl (UK) with Philips Advert “Change Your World”

We are a directing duo (Ed Aldridge and Si Martin). We’ve been friends since the age of 4 and pursued separate careers in film and TV before starting to work together again in the last two years. We’ve made two adverts from eYeka briefs and are starting a new one now. We love eYeka because it allows us to experiment with ideas and stories, but gives us a brief and a deadline to focus our energies. We are often inspired by cinematic genres and the idea for the Philips advert came from a mix of ‘indie’ films like ‘Clerks’ (a guy alone in a shop) and a John Carpenter-style bad guy from films like ‘The Warriors’. We wanted to subvert expectations so the audience is uneasy to begin with and then happy when the tone turns lighter.

Second Prize of EUR 2,000 goes to FFC (France) with Sounds of Influence – Philips

I’ve directed a lot of videos (eYeka’s call for entries, music videos, web series, and other short things) so I became aware of the power of music on the pictures. I’ve just made a text about it and try to illustrate this “power”. My usual creation process in eYeka is to pick up the keyword of the brief, make sure that I understood it and see if my “universe” is compatible with.I started to participate in eyeka contests 3 or 4 years ago with my team and a little camera then we have won awards which enabled us to fund new equipments and new projects. Here is my website : http://www.the-antipop.com/

Third Prize of EUR 1,000 goes to Gilz (France) with Philips_sst

This was my first contest since 2009. It’s always difficult for me to ask my actor friends and technical crew to work for free or so (since it’s a contest, we’ll never know the issue). For this one, we shot it in one of my friends’ office. We had two DSLR, a couple of lights, two actors, a make up artist. We shot it within 5 hours and I edited it in two days.

Prints Category:

First Prize of EUR 2,500
goes to pisezzz (Moldova) with Philips_Coffee

This contest was really interesting for me. A big brand which is ready for fresh ideas, that seems attractive to me :D I think that music is a great passion, and it’s some kind of stimulator, so i decided to make a parallel between music “consumption” and consumption of stimulation drinks like coffee, wine, beer. When you see the print, you’ll think of invigoration that gives coffee and relaxation that brings wine! I think it’s a little bit of psychology.I thank Eyeka for organization of the contest and i wish to everybody only bright ideas!

Second Prize of EUR 1,500 goes to Usyaev (Russian Federation) with Philips

The idea came to me after a long thinking about music. Music for many people is something more than just the vibrations of sound waves. Music paints the surrounding area. It adds bright color to our surroundings. And people are transformed when they hear the familiar notes.

Third Prize of EUR 1,000 goes to ggmcc1108 (Hong Kong) with PHILIPS_Sound_Evolution

First of all, I was so happy to share my feelings. In fact, my inspiration comes from the first impression. Philips is a known, stable and rich brand of power, I want to emphasize this point. In my work is also rich explosive! You can see Philips products make ordinary audio into colorful sound! People will understand directly. I think that the different products and brands have their own style and road, so we have to understand only with the object required. By the way, i think that design is used to be solved problems and make life better, and this is my interest too. After joining eYeka, I broadened my horizons, and I usually pay attention to the activities there & appreciate everyone’s work. The most important thing, my creativity has also been greatly stimulated. I hope I can continue to work & progress. Thanks, God!

Congratulation, guys! Well done!

We’d like to thank everyone who have taken a part in this contest. A BIG thank you to all of you for making it a success! Keep up the good work and stay awesome! :)
